This product is designed for those who need or want to upgrade to a Tilton 0.625" (5/8) or 0.75" (3/4 Larger Bore) Clutch Master Cylinder on their FC3S / FD3S chassis without cutting or drilling their firewall. Some transmission swaps require a larger bore clutch master cylinder and since there isn't a larger FC3S / FD3S one you can swap in, this is the best method. Additionally, this product is much more aesthetically pleasing than the ugly FC3S / FD3S cylinder, the stroke is improved so you get a more precise engagement, and matches our Brake Booster Eliminator if you have it.
The black powdercoated firewall plate is made of 0.125" (1/8 or 3.17mm) steel and has the master cylinder mounting studs pressed and welded in. It uses the same thread type as stock, which is M8x1.25.
There are a few options but don't let it overwhelm, its ultimately just 3 options:
1) Standard option includes just the firewall CMC adapter...you will have to supply the Master Cylinder, the AN adapters, the clevis, the fluid feed...if you do the math our added options below save you a lot of time and a lot of money.
2) Add Tilton MC + Clevis & AN Adapters...this adds the Tilton 76-series Master Cylinder in either 0.625" or 0.75" bore PLUS Clevis for the OE Clutch Pedal and ALL needed AN adapters for inlet and outlet on the Tilton MC.
3) Add Chase Bays Reservoir, Bracket, & Hose...this adds the Chase Bays Fluid Reservoir, Bracket to mount the reservoir to your stock MC or Chase Bays Booster Delete, and the EPDM fluid feed hose all for external mount. We used to share the brake fluid reservoir fluid with the clutch because it looked good and simplified, but after heavily drifting and racing for years we know these need to be isolated circuits. If your brakes or clutch are heating up you don't want that circuit shared. So we have them isolated and easy to mount. This option is the best bang for buck and you reach TOP level aesthetic and utility. This is the same as the Clutch Reservoir for Dual Piston Brake Booster Delete so if you have that already you don't need this add-on.
This does not fit with a stock clutch line but it does work with the Chase Bays Clutch Line. The only difference is the outlet threads on the CMC, the stock CMC is M10x1.0 and the Tilton is 3/8-24. When you add the Tilton Master Cylinder from us we include the 3/8-24 banjo bolt. All you have to do is switch to the 3/8-24 Banjo Bolt from the Metric M10 and the Chase Bays Clutch Line works.
