The Chase Bays Dual Piston Brake Booster Delete with Bolt-On 6:1 Pedal Ratio is designed for extreme Motorsport use from Road Race, Time Attack, Drift, to Rally. Because of that, we have to ensure accompanying and attached parts are equipped for the same heavy use. Many OEM chassis (BMW, RX-7, Evo) use / share the brake reservoir to provide the clutch master cylinder with fluid. It's simple it's clean, makes sense! However whenever the car is used on track, the brake fluid can boil. If the brake fluid boils then you lose a lot, if not all, function from you clutch. It can turn into a nightmare situation.
Because of this we have eliminated the shared reservoir function and offer a kit to fully isolate your clutch fluid that bolts directly to the Chase Bays Dual Piston Brake Booster Delete. It includes a strong 5051 aluminum bracket, Billet Reservoir, and EPDM lined Hose w/ Zinc-Plated Spring Clamps. All items you'd see in the paddock at anything from IMSA to NASCAR. And of course all aluminum products are bead blasted and hard-anodized in Chase Bays signature Semi-Gloss Black for a smooth finish.
With this product, you get great aesthetics and high end motorsport function, you will never have to worry about losing your clutch due to boiling fluid.
LEFT MOUNT: This means the Clutch Reservoir will mount to the LEFT side (if you're sitting in the Driver Seat) of the Chase Bays Master Cylinder.
RIGHT MOUNT: This means the Clutch Reservoir will mount to the RIGHT side (if you're sitting in the Driver Seat) of the Chase Bays Master Cylinder.
As a general rule of thumb, you will want your Clutch Reservoir farther from the engine to be further from heat and other components. Most LHD cars will pick LEFT mount, and RHD cars will pick RIGHT mount to put it closer to the shock tower in each setup.
The only setup that we know of that will won't adhere to that is the Subaru chassis (including FR-S / 86 / GR86). Since the Clutch Master crosses over to the other side you will want this Reservoir on the opposite side of other chassis, so LHD will pick RIGHT mount, and RHD will pick LEFT mount. You also must run Tilton or Wilwood Clutch Master Cylinder on those chassis in order to make this product work.
