Oil Cooling is one of the most overlooked aspects we see on ZN6 builds. In drifting, racing, and even street driving conditions engine oil temperatures can skyrocket. This not only causes decreased performance and reduces the oils ability to lubricate but being that it's a shared vessel with the coolant, it also reduces the radiators capability to cool the water/coolant. We see builders all the time focus all their efforts on bigger radiator or bigger fans when oil cooling could have fixed their rising temps the whole time. They work in unison to cool the engine as a whole.
There are a few options for Oil Coolers on ZN6 chassis so let's look into why our's in better:
• 19 row Oil Cooler (some are only 10 row!)
• Chassis Specific Brackets (many kits don't even include brackets which is the hardest part of install)
• We keep NA and Forced Induction setups in mind (many kits put the cooler right where the intercooler would go)
Our high flowing Oil Cooler Kit will keep your oil temps within desired ranged which maintains engine performance and helps the engine last longer. In most cases we see 30º F drops with the addition of the Chase Bays Oil Cooler Kit.
The Chase Bays Coolers are coated in the signature Chase Bays Semi-Gloss Black coating that is cooler safe. The header covers are embossed with the Chase Bays logo. The AN threads are taped off for coating-free threads. ALL Hose and Hose Ends are BMRS aka Brown and Miller Racing. This is the best Hose/Hose Ends in the world, the same components seen on NASCAR and Indy Car. All the Fitting Adapters are designed and manufactured by Chase Bays to be chassis specific for perfect leak free installs.

Dual Oil Coolers
We offer an add on for DUAL 19 row Oil Coolers for those who are really pushing their FA to its limit. Our Drift ZN6 makes over 400hp on the FA20 and the single 19 row wasn't cutting it on some intense full course tracks (5 minute consecutive drifts). We would go over 230ºF while the water temp was staying around 205ºF. Adding a second cooler brought it down to around 215ºF which is fantastic. This is common on RX-7 Rotary setups to do dual cooler so we implemented it on flat 4 with success. We recommend this to drift or track guys who are making 350hp and up.
